We hope everybody had a great thanksgiving! Here are some of our favorite Thanksgiving traditions that members of the Titan Tribune did this year!

  1. Thanksgiving Meal: A traditional meal like this brings the family together and lets everyone say thanks. The staple foods served are turkey, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, gravy and pumpkin pie. Delicious!

  2. Friendsgiving: This is a time for friends to come together and enjoy each other's company. Usually, it is done potluck style, which is always a fun twist from traditional Thanksgiving food!

  3. Turkey Trot: This is such a fun way to start your day while running or walking with family and friends. Many people come dressed up in costumes or funny Thanksgiving outfits. This is a great way to burn off your Thanksgiving meal calories!

  4. Decorate the House: No better way to get in the holiday spirit than to put up festive decorations! Decorating the front porch and inside your house is a fun activity to do with your family. You can be as creative as you would like and it will definitely put you in a better mood.

  5. Thanksgiving Parades: The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a huge event held in New York City that has many fun floats and entertainers. You can watch this live on NBC with your family and friends on Thanksgiving morning, and it is a great way to start the day!

  6. Making the Meal with Family: Yes, eating the food is the best part, but preparing it is such a fun way to bond with family! For people who are passionate about cooking, this is the perfect way to help your family out and make a tasty meal.

  7. Breaking the Wishbone: This is another fun tradition that families can do after carving the turkey. With this superstition, two people each take a side of the Y-shaped bone and make a wish. Then, whoever ends up with the bigger piece gets good luck for the next year, and their wish should come true!

  8. Play Family Games: Playing games with your family or friends is such an exciting way to end off the night. Personally, competitive games are the funniest, and it always leaves everybody laughing!

  9. Watch a Thanksgiving Movie: Grab your blankets and get comfy because once Thanksgiving night is pretty much over, the best thing to do is to watch a movie! Charlie Brown will always be a great one to watch. It's perfect for younger kids, and it brings nostalgia to adults.

  10. Have Thanksgiving Leftovers: Though it's the day after Thanksgiving, having leftovers will keep you in the festive mood. You can never go wrong with Thanksgiving food! Next year, definitely try some of these traditions out!

We hope you had a happy Thanksgiving and were able to celebrate the things you are grateful for!
