Emaan Ghaffarian is running for ASB Vice President with a message of boldness.

His campaign has the theme of graffiti because, in his words, “graffiti represents bold expression, creativity, and making a mark—just like I want to do as ASB Vice President.”

“Graffiti has always been a way for people to bring life to blank spaces, and in the same way, I want to bring new energy and fresh ideas to Tesoro,” he elaborated. “It’s about standing out, thinking outside the box, and making a statement, which perfectly reflects my motivation for running. I want to be a leader who amplifies student voices and brings new opportunities for everyone to be involved and heard.”

He also highlights the importance of genuine representation: “It’s not just about seeing my name on a poster—it’s about real conversations, where students can ask me questions, share ideas, and feel like they’re part of the movement. My goal isn’t just to win votes; it’s to build momentum for real change at Tesoro, and that starts with students talking to each other and getting excited about what we can accomplish together.”

Student input is a priority to him, which he wants to do through polls, suggestion boxes, or conversations: “I want to create an atmosphere where everyone feels involved, not just the same groups of students. That means launching fresh, exciting events that haven’t been done before and making sure they’re based on what students actually want—not just what’s been traditionally planned.”

Emaan feels enthusiastic about the school he is running to represent: “Tesoro is filled with creative, passionate people, and I want to bring their ideas to life to make next year the most exciting one yet.”
