As elections for Tesoro High School’s student body government heat up, AK is making his case to voters as he campaigns for the Junior Class President of the Class of 2027.

When asked why fellow classmates should vote for him, AK passionately responds by stating he wants to use his platform to “create an environment of inclusion” and “include those who don’t normally participate in ASB events.” He explains that his desire for inclusion stems from his participation in Best Buddies and volunteering at the RSM library during summer to help children with summer reading.

Describing himself as “determined” and "result driven,” AK points to his achievements in Cross Country and Track & Field along with his continued academic success as an Honors student.

If elected, AK plans on implementing numerous improvements around campus, such fundraisers that will cater to interests of students, selling concessions during annual Basketball and Dodgeball tournaments, and implementing a student-driven selection process for class spirit wear. He plans to use proceeds raised to fund class events and activities that will enrich the student body's experience.
