Tesoro’s 2024 Spring Sports Commence

As the second semester begins, fall and winter sports are coming to a close, and spring sports are starting.

As a school that prides itself not only on academic excellence, but on athletic success, Tesoro has numerous spring sport programs that are available to all students at any level of capability.  There are numerous spring programs currently at Tesoro including lacrosse, swimming and diving, track and field, boys volleyball, baseball, softball and boys golf.

Boys and girls lacrosse have increased in popularity at Tesoro over the years.  Head Coach Cameron Cole coaches and manages the boys varsity team for many years, while Head Coach Bella Ostheimer is in charge of the girls team.  With games starting near the end of February, the Titan lacrosse teams will compete against many schools in the area including Trabuco Hills, Capo Valley, Santa Margarita Catholic and many more.

Coming off of a great water polo season for both boys and girls, the 2024 swimming and diving season is quickly approaching.  Head Coaches Keeon Jabbour and Madi Matsushima coach the boys and girls team, respectively.  With meets starting towards the end of February, the team prepares to compete against individual schools in dual meets and numerous schools at larger meets around Southern California.

Tesoro’s track and field team just kicked off their season at the recent All-Comers Meet fundraiser held every year.  With many new and returning athletes on the team, Tesoro is projected to have a very strong and successful year.  Head coaches Darren Phelps and Courtney Tebbe have brought the girls and boys team to success over the years.  The Tesoro team is out practicing everyday to fulfill individual goals and help the team to major victory.

Following a South Coast League Champion and Division 2 CIF Runner-Up season last year, many upcoming and returning Volleyball players are preparing for the upcoming season.  Head Coaches Rich Polk and Pat Eaton are strongly committed to producing the best athletes in Orange County as they take on many strong schools in the area.  With their season starting in less than a week, hopes for succeeding are strong across the net.
