On Monday, May 20, sophomore Nicolette Givogri will assume the role of Editor in Chief of the Titan Tribune. Givogri will lead the Titan Tribune’s second Editorial Board through the close of the 2023-2024 school year and on.
Givogri’s Editorial Board will include sophomore Seth Skaff as News Editor, freshman Nina Geyfman as Features Editor, junior Parker Wolfe as Sports Editor, sophomore Ethan Xie as Opinions Editor and junior Lukas Andrews as Photo Editor. The six student Editorial Board plans to continue and further their multimedia coverage of news, nominating sophomore McCartney Minter to host the podcast and run their social media channels and junior Kasey Kim to produce the new Games section.
Givogri and her board were elected by the outgoing Titan Tribune Editorial Board on the basis of their commitment to and plans for the newspaper’s future. These decisions were made based on previous contributions as well as an interview process.
Givogri, a member of Tesoro’s girls soccer team, National Honor Society and Associated Student Body will also become Junior Class President for the 2024-2025 school year. Upon assuming the role of Editor in Chief, she pledges to a fair coverage of Tesoro High School and its surrounding community.
“I am so grateful to be selected for such an honorable position,” said Givogri. “I hope to continue to expand the paper at Tesoro by publishing more frequent and up to date articles, broadening our audience and publishing our first prints.”
