Athletes start the 1600m at the 2023 All-Comers Meet.
Tesoro Track and Field kicks off their season with the All-Comers Meet. Every year, Tesoro hosts this meet as a way to raise money but also to give the coaches and athletes a chance to see what their fitness levels are at the beginning of their 2024 track season.
Tesoro typically has a great turnout of athletes and supporters who show up to this event. Schools around the area including San Clemente, Trabuco Hills, San Juan Hills, and Dana Hills are all expected to compete.
On Feb. 3, events start Saturday morning around 9 A.M. and last until 12 P.M. Events include: 1600M, 800M, 400M, 200M, 100M, 110M hurdles, 300M hurdles, long jump, high jump, pole vault, shotput and discus. It is 10 dollars to compete and five dollars for spectators.
Athlete or not, the track program encourages anyone to come out to show their support for the program and athletes. Meet entries, transportation and coach staffing are just a few examples on why this fundraiser tremendously helps Tesoro give their athletes the best opportunities. Meets like the Buchanan Invitational, which is an overnight trip for the distance runners, is just one example of the amazing opportunities fundraising allows for the athletes.
As the 2024 Spring Track Season slowly begins, athletes all across the country are training and preparing for their first race to start. And for Tesoro’s athletes, that day is right around the corner. Come and support our fellow Titans!
