A Christmas Carol Comes to Tesoro's Theater

Christmas seems to be arriving early this year at Tesoro high school! Jingle bells and carols can be heard from the theater all across campus. The reason for this jolly atmosphere: A Christmas Carol, the fall play at Tesoro this year.

A Christmas Carol, based on the novel by Charles Dickens, follows miserly Ebenezer Scrooge as he learns to embrace the joy and spirit of Christmas and give up his selfish ways. Throughout the show there are delightful characters, compelling scenes, and beautiful costumes and sets.

Directed by drama teacher Cheryl Des Palmes, the show combines the atmosphere of Christmas with a drama component that will make viewers both scared and sorrowful at parts.

Playing the lead of Scrooge is talented junior, Maceo Vadas. The love interest of Scrooge’s youth, Belle, is played by freshman Addison Engelken. Playing the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, who help Scrooge regain his Christmas cheer throughout the play, are Ruby Davis, Alysse Camelot, and Charlie Mathis.

You can see these brilliant actors and even more in Tesoro High School’s A Christmas Carol, performing November 17-19. More information can be found on the Tesoro theater arts Instagram page: @tesorotheatrearts

For a chance to be transported to another time for a night, you will not want to miss A Christmas Carol.
